What we do

iNotarize is a Remote Online Notary service. We receive your document securely, review whether it can be handled remotely, coordinate identity verification and scheduling, and deliver the completed electronic document. Notarial acts are performed by electronic notaries commissioned in Virginia.

How we talk about ourselves

We do not publish credentials, awards, years in business, notarization counts, certifications, partnerships, insurance claims, or professional memberships that have not been verified. If you do not see a statistic on this site, it is because we will not invent one. Verified details will be added here as they are provided.

Our customer service philosophy

Most people arriving here are working against a deadline and are unsure what is even allowed. So we answer directly, tell you when something is not possible, and explain what to do instead. A clear no on the same day is worth more than a vague maybe.

What a notary cannot do

Our notaries are not acting as attorneys. They cannot provide legal advice, choose a document for you, or explain a document's legal effect. They verify identity, witness signatures, administer oaths and affirmations, and complete the notarial certificate.
