Option 1 — Bring your own clients

Designed for commissioned notaries who already have their own customers and need access to the iNotarize platform to conduct remote online notarizations.

Option 2 — Join the iNotarize Notary Network
Service iNotarize Clients
$20per month
Apply to become an approved iNotarize Network Notary and become eligible to receive notarization opportunities generated through the iNotarize platform.
Paying the monthly membership fee does not guarantee client assignments, income, or approval to the network. Notaries must successfully complete the required onboarding, training, testing, credential verification, and approval process before becoming eligible to accept iNotarize client assignments.

Onboarding
What onboarding looks like
Step 1
Account
Create your iNotarize notary account and verify your email address.
Step 2
Commission
Tell us your commission state, number, dates, and commission types.
Step 3
Credentials
Upload your commission certificate, authorisation, ID, and seal.
Step 4
Certificate
Upload and validate the digital certificate you sign with.
Step 5
Membership
Choose the $25 own-clients plan or the $20 Network application.
Step 6
Training
Network applicants complete the required iNotarize training.
Step 7
Assessment
Network applicants take the iNotarize certification assessment.
Step 8
Approval
An iNotarize administrator reviews the completed application.
Training, the assessment, and administrator approval apply to iNotarize Notary Network applicants. Notaries who bring their own clients complete the first five steps unless a compliance issue requires more.
Credentials stay private
Commission documents, identification, and digital certificates are stored in private storage and retrieved only through short-lived secure links for you and authorised iNotarize administrators.
Certificate checks happen on our servers
Your digital certificate is read and checked on the iNotarize servers, not in your browser. Certificate passwords are used to open the file and are never stored.
Compliance reminders built in
iNotarize tracks your commission and certificate expiration dates and alerts you before they lapse.
Registering for the iNotarize platform does not itself authorize you to perform remote online notarizations. You must independently satisfy every applicable requirement of your commissioning state before conducting remote online notarizations.
